    What is a sick note?

When you're sick, you need to recover properly. Only then can your body fully heal. You're unable to do your job as usual. Concentration, performance, and resilience may be impaired. With contagious illnesses like colds or flu, there's the risk of infecting your colleagues. By staying home, you protect not only your own health but also that of your coworkers.

As an employee, you need a medical certificate as proof of work absence due to illness. This certificate is called Arbeitsunfähigkeitsbescheinigung (AU) — also known as "yellow slip," medical certificate, or sick note.

The sick note shows your employer when you cannot work due to illness and how long this period is expected to last. We issue your sick note quickly and uncomplicated — also via video consultation if needed.
